In-Town Options
The ski resorts are what Park City is known for, but the town itself also has a lot to offer a wedding party. The in-town venues have so much to offer celebrating couples and their guests. From world-class dining to a robust nightlife, Park City is sure to entertain. Here are some of our favorite wedding venues:

• Sky Lodge: Located right on Main St., the Sky Lodge has a fantastic view of the mountains, delicious catering, and top notch staff. They have three different venues to choose from on-site so you’re sure to find something that fits your personal tastes.
• Kimball Art Center: Gallery weddings are exceptionally beautiful with their open spaces and peacefully sophisticated air. The Kimball Art Center has four venue options for weddings, including three galleries and an outdoor patio.
• Riverhorse on Main: This restaurant is able to host weddings of any size, from intimate family affairs up to 200 people, in their Soho style loft. There’s also plenty of space for a live band and dancing.
• High West Whiskey Distillery: For a completely unique experience, the saloon setting at the High West Whiskey Distillery is both hip and elegant. They have three venue options, offer delicious cuisine, and can offer guests up to six entree options.

If you’re not a big fan of the skiing or snowboarding, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy while visiting Park City. Park City is well known for theater and other live performances at the Egyptian Theater and Eccles Center. The city itself is one big museum with 64 buildings, many of them right on Main Street, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A network of tunnels left over from the town’s mining era wind more than 1,200 miles through the surrounding mountains, many of which are open to tour and explore.

For those who are looking for a little more excitement, it can be found at the Utah Olympic Park. During the 2002 Winter Olympics, this park and other sites in and around Park City served as competition venues and are now used as Olympic training facilities. The park is also open to the public for activities like bobsledding, guided tours, an adventure course, sports clinics, and much more.

Daily How to Fest Tours

Have lots of questions? Festival Insiders lead personalized “How to Fest” tours on Main Street. Free one-hour tours leave each day from the patio of the Sundance House Presented by HP at 10:00 a.m. from January 20 to January 28. No registration required.

Tips for Being Green at the Festival

Here are a few simple things you can do to support Sundance Institute and our sponsor community in our shared efforts to make the 2012 Sundance Film Festival greener.

Getting Around

A system of walking paths throughout Park City takes you between Festival venues so you can save precious energy spent fighting traffic. Or hop on the free Festival shuttle bus.

Recycling

You can easily recycle your aluminum, plastic, glass, and paper at even more recycling bins this year at all of our theatres, venues, and shuttle stops, and throughout Park City.

Using Less

Instead of picking up a second or third printed Film Guide, utilize Sundance Film Festival’s interactive Online Film Guide which will launch in December. Also available in December for on-the-go Festival information, try our Sundance Film Festival iPhone app featuring the complete 2012 film schedule, venue and transportation mapping, exclusive videos, and more.

Reduce Energy Consumption

To help conserve energy, remember to lower the thermostat and turn off the lights when leaving your Festival accommodations.

During the day, shoppers stay busy browsing in Main Street boutiques carrying clothing, ski gear, antiques, and jewelry, and bookstores and cafes offer quiet places to watch the world go by. When the sun goes down, plenty of clubs and wine bars guarantee a lively nightlife.

For visitors who prefer a cultural side to their vacations, The Egyptian Theater produces a variety of musicals and other programs, and a wide selection of artwork is on display at the Kimball Art Center’s three spaces and at galleries lining Main St.
